  1. UPDATING SOUND BLASTER DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS 95

  4. To update the drivers required for Windows 95:
  5.  
  6. 1. In the Control Panel folder, double-click the System icon to show the
  7.    System Properties dialog box.
  8.  
  9. 2. Select the Device Manager tab in the System Properties dialog box.
  10.  
  11. 3. Double-click the "Sound, video and game controllers" to display the 
  12.    devices installed in your system.
  13.  
  14. 4. Double-click the device you wish to update (e.g., Creative Labs
  15.    Sound Blaster 16 or AWE-32).
  16.    The Properties dialog box of the selected device appears.
  17.  
  18. 5. Select the Driver tab in the Properties dialog box and choose 
  19.    Change Driver.
  20.    The Select Device dialog box appears.
  21.  
  22. 6. Choose Have Disk in the Select Device dialog box.
  23.    The Install From Disk dialog box appears.
  24.  
  25. 7. Enter the path where the new drivers are located and choose OK.
  26.    The Select Device dialog box appears.
  27.  
  28. 8. Choose OK to return to the Properties dialog box.
  29.  
  30. 9. Choose OK to exit the Properties dialog box.
  31.    The drivers will be copied to your Windows directory.
  32.  
  33. 10. Choose Close to exit the System Properties dialog box.
  34.     The System Settings Change dialog box appears.
  35.  
  36. 11. Choose OK to restart your system.
